PURPOSE: Through the award of this Request for Proposal, the City of Moncton is seeking to engage the services of a well-established, highly qualified and experienced firm to provide on-site, uniformed security personnel on an “as required” basis at the Moncton Coliseum Complex, as well as for indoor or outdoor special events which are organized by the City of Moncton or its event partners. Security services are also required on a year-round basis each Friday and Saturday for the Marché Moncton Market, which is owned and operated by the City of Moncton. ELIGIBILITY OF PROPONENTS: Proposals shall be considered from established firms / agencies who have been in the business of providing event security and related services for a minimum of five (5) years, are financially stable, can provide a minimum of five (5) clients for whom they have provided similar services to that specified in the RFP within the last five (5) year period, and have sufficient labour, equipment and resources to provide reliable, timely, and professional event security services to the City of Moncton in the manner and capacity required. Proposals shall ONLY be considered from agencies licensed to do business in the Province of New Brunswick under the Private Investigators and Security Services Act, and is operating said agency within the parameters of New Brunswick Regulation 84-103 under the Private Investigators and Security Services Act (O.C. 84-386). PROPOSED CONTRACT TERM: The initial term of this agreement shall be for a one (1) year period, commencing from the date of award. The City may exercise an option to extend the agreement for up to four (4) additional one (1) year periods, if it is in the City’s best interest to do so. |
